The standards that keep Golden Peers safe, honest, and human.
Respect
Every member deserves to be treated with dignity, regardless of their background, beliefs, or where they are in their journey.
Honesty
We value authentic sharing over curated performance. You do not have to have it together to belong here.
Reciprocity
This is a peer community. We give and receive. No one is here only to take, and no one is expected to give more than they have.
Accountability
We take responsibility for how our words and actions affect others. Mistakes happen โ what matters is how we respond to them.
Safety
Physical, emotional, and psychological safety is non-negotiable. We protect it actively, not passively.
Inclusion
Golden Peers is for everyone. Race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, age, and socioeconomic background are not barriers to belonging here.
If you are in crisis right now:
Our moderation team monitors for crisis content and will respond with resources. However, Golden Peers cannot guarantee real-time crisis response. If you are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services first. Members who share content that expresses suicidal ideation or intent will receive an immediate private message with crisis resources. We do not remove these posts unless they contain detailed methods or instructions, as we believe acknowledgment and connection are often more helpful than silence.
Warning
First-time or minor violations receive a private warning with an explanation.
Content Removal
Violating content is removed. The member is notified of the reason.
Temporary Suspension
Repeated or moderate violations result in a temporary account suspension (24 hours to 30 days).
Permanent Ban
Severe violations (abuse, CSAM, coordinated harassment, fraud) result in immediate permanent ban with no appeal.
To appeal a moderation decision, contact our team through the platform. We review all appeals within 5 business days. Appeals for permanent bans related to child safety violations are not accepted. We are a small team and we make mistakes. If you believe a moderation decision was wrong, tell us. We will listen.
